Web services are services that can be accessed over a network, for instance via the global internet. Often these web services and their clients communicate via web protocols like HTTP.
This tutorial trail on web services will mostly look at web services in a larger perspective, covering issues like service reuse, service composition, enterprise service bus etc. It does not cover the more specific details about SOAP, WSDL, REST etc. These will be covered in their own trails later.
