Install R Studio
R Studio gives you a visual workspace for working with R. Inside R Studio you can run small R snippets, run R programs, see what data you have currently loaded into the workspace, and see any plots (diagrams) you have generated from your data in this session. R Studio is free and can run on Windows, Mac and Linux.
In general, R Studio makes it easier to both learn and work with R on a day-to-day basis. If you are new to R I would definitely recommend that you install R Studio.
Before you install R Studio you must first have installed the R runtime. You can read how to do that in my tutorial about installing the R Runtime.
To install R Studio you must first download it from the R Studio website. The R Studio website is found here:
You should choose the desktop version - free (open source edition). Choose the installation file that fits your operating system.
Once you have downloaded the correct version of R Studio, install it like you would with any other application.
